There was a technique used in casting back in the day called "blind casting." The producers and studio execs selected the most talented actors to play the main roles. Adapting a classic is tough, but Peter Jackson and company find a perfect balance between introducing new characters, setting up a conflict and showing us a gorgeous yet scary middle Earth.

This film was made over 20 years ago and the visual effects feel as authentic as life itself. There's creativity in these scenes, from the visual to the audio styles, this film is a phenomenal adaptation.
