“It’s paradoxical yet it works.”
Captivating, brilliant and hypnotizing are some of the adjectives made to describe this epic film.
Christopher Nolan adapts a chronological biography into a biopic for the TikTok generation. The use of flashbacks and black and white make the viewer feel as if they were watching two puzzles that solve each other separately until they’re connected altogether in a climactic sequence.
“Oppenheimer” is a film that has romantic and tragic storylines, a suspenseful story based on a crucial event in human history and zero Computer Generated Images.
Nolan does something that a director hasn’t done in a very long time. Nolan is making the audience think. Nolan gets inside Oppenheimer’s head to the point that the viewer gets to see how Oppenheimer used to process his own ideas.
The reason why “Oppenheimer” has resonated with audiences so well is because there is a palpable character who has a constant inner conflict. Is there anything more human than that?
