There are sequels that are better than the original, and this is one of them. Joe Dante's flick takes the audience to NYC, and finds a way to troll the birth of 24 hour networks, greed and horror movies.

The comedic tone works really well in this movie because the visual effects are real. Zero CGI. It's the movie that pushed Gizmo to the edge.
