The dark side of ambition is shown in this film without being preachy, violent, nor aggressive. "Election" is a fantastic satire because we love and hate every single character. The simplicity of the dialogue yet the details hidden in the camera work are ingenious since the perspective of the narrator changes constantly.

One of the rare movies where millenials empathized with the wrong character. Reese Witherspoon is flawless as Tracy Flick.
